i think that the quality of the camera makes it very amazing, also all of the pictures are very colorful and all the people in them has something different and unique, like the eyes, the smile, or even one of them has a big lizard with him, so that makes you be interested in it.

I think the portraits of people that he takes are really good. I think in most of them it really captures their true being and hints at clues to their walks of life. I think the way he chose to capture these photos of people really do them justice in the way that it tells their story to those who don't know.

What I feel good about the portrait photos are the variants of countries he went to and took pictures of. Like all the pictures he's took are the people who are themselves and the it's a straight on picture where you can see everything.

I think that his portraits are so good because they are natural: they aren't staged. The fact that they are striped of props and superfluous things gives the subject a more raw and exposing feeling which leads the viewer to create a stronger bond with that subject through the emotions they experienced. These portrait photos show a lot of culture in a single photo. Each one shows a different life and different stories, and can show a small portion of their day to day life.

The diversity and vibrancy in his portrait photos is what's good and amazing. His pictures aren't bland, they almost have a story to tell about the person in the portrait

McCurry's portraits portray an element of innocent humanness that we often don't see or want to see. Some are dramatized, but the majority of the photos show the natural state of someone. They show real life, some sad and some good, but overall demonstrate events, emotions and feelings we often don't talk about or see as glamorous. Sadie S

Steve McCurry photos say so much about a person or place with one photo. His photo show what life is like in other parts of the world. Lots of his photos show how bad some peoples life are in other countries. Kekoa.L

What is so good and amazing about Steve McCurry's portrait photos is they tell the truth. They aren't all smiling people posing for a self portrait; they are taken of people in a moment of truth. These portraits show what everyone is actually going through.

His photos capture the expressions on people's faces very well. I love how raw and real the photos are and seeing that mixed in with all the colors. They really pull you in and draw your eyes right to the people in the portraits. Jaelyn A

His images are so good because like he said there of people, people in their natural state. Yes, like most photographers he might have added a few things in the photo or moved things so the image was what he wanted, but the photos don't look overdone, fake. "I look for the unguarded moment, the essential soul peeking out..." how he described his work is true, all of his photos show a "unguarded moment, like of a family.

I think his photos are absolutely amazing because behind each picture has its own story and they are all special in a different way.

His portraits are amazing, in my opinion because when you look at the photographs you know you're looking at a person, but when that person is looking back at you, you get a different feeling. You see the photographs and you realize the people haven't been altered, this is how they look on a daily basis, the didn't get ready for this picture.

The portraits relate to the quote because just about all of the people photographed are looking directly into the camera and it is said that they eyes are the window to the soul. I think his photograph are interesting because you can feel a sense of intimacy when looking into someones eyes directly.
